An office assistant for trade businesses
Toolsmate is an AI assistant for one-to-five-person trade businesses in the UK: heating engineers, plumbers, electricians, joiners. It does the office work that piles up between jobs, so you can get on with the job.
What Toolsmate does
- Keeps a proper record of your customers, their properties, and every job, quote and invoice.
- Reads what comes in, works out what it is, and puts it on the books: a new enquiry, a customer replying to a quote, a supplier invoice.
- Tells you, in plain English, what needs doing today.
- Drafts replies to customers in your own voice. Nothing is sent until you approve it.
Connecting your Google account
Most of a small trade business runs through its inbox and its calendar. Toolsmate connects to your Google account so it can work from them. You choose to connect; you can disconnect at any time.
What Toolsmate asks Google for

| Send email on your behalf | To send a reply you have approved, from your own address, so your customers see mail from you. |
| See when you are busy | To suggest appointment times that don't clash with your calendar. Toolsmate sees only that you are busy between two times, never what the event is or who it is with. |
What Toolsmate never does
- Never sends an email you have not approved.
- Never deletes or moves your email, and never changes your calendar.
- Never uses your email to train general AI models, and never sells or shares it for advertising.
The full detail is in our privacy policy. The key that lets Toolsmate reach your account is kept in an encrypted vault and is removed the moment you disconnect.
